Sourced from the Nyeri region in Central Kenya, this coffee is produced at Gachatha Factory. Gachatha Factory has long been a part of the country’s coffee heritage. Originally operating under the Giant Tetu Farmers’ Cooperative, it became independent in 1999 with the formation of the Gachatha Farmers’ Cooperative Society. Today, the cooperative brings together more than 1,500 active smallholder farmers, each contributing carefully grown coffee cherries from small plots of land. These producers are encouraged to adopt sustainable agricultural practices that minimize environmental impact while preserving quality.

This is a field blend of SL28, S:34, and Ruiru 11. This is a fresh crop arrival, landing in the US at the end of April, 2026 and is extremely expressive. Expect beautiful flavors, a dynamic cup and tons of cleanliness from this lot.

We taste:

Pink Lemonade, Jasmine florals, sweet chamomile tea, demerara sugar. It is layered and fruity, like pomegranate and blackberry (VImto, anyone!?) when hot that develops into red grape as the cup cools. At cold, the coffee reminds me of earl grey tea, juicy mandarin orange and orange blossom water.
