This is a banner year for Perlitas! Gracing our menu for the first time is this all-chiroso version of Las Perlitas. Usually Perlitas is a combo of caturra, pink bourbon, etc, but we were fortunate to snag the entire lot of this pure chiroso version. The Chiroso variety is expanding rapidly in Colombia, and we're excited to bring in even more as new trees mature. Renown for its flavor quality, this relative of Ethiopian landrace varieties is a beautiful, clean coffee we're sure you'll enjoy. We love this coffee's elegant, delicate flavors of orange and raisin, as well as its juiciness. Also available green!
The Las Perlitas project sources and combines coffees that are otherwise too-small-volume to export on their own. Stephen from The Coffee Quest identifies these coffees and masterfully unites them into a wonderful creation lovingly called Perlitas, little pearls. This special lot is comprised solely of the chiroso variety.
Process: Washed
Region: Huila, Colombia
