It's back! Our first coffee from COE winner Linarco Rodriguez was a delicious, red-fruit bomb. Don't miss this limited rerelease from our freezer reserve.
From 2025: This is Prodigal's first offering from famed Cup of Excellence winning producer Linarco Rodriguez. We love the resonant red fruit flavors in this coffee - the cherry and jammy strawberry stand out, along with a bit of honey backing them up. And the acidity is balanced, helping to define the fruit flavors while remaining absolutely chuggable.
Linarco has five farms, with this lot coming from his Finca Betania. After 48-hours of anaerobic fermentation, and a subsequent 48-hours of aerobic oxidation (not fermentation!), this coffee was fully washed. It dried on raised beds for 12 days and then was expertly milled by our friends at Desarrolladores de Cafe.
Both Linarco's mother and sisters are involved in the operation, which all started with his grandparents. Finca Betania is 42 hectares, and five of them are conserved as native forest.
Process: washed
Region: Huila, Colombia
Variety: Red Geisha
