We are absolutely thrilled to ring in the new year with just-landed, ultra-fresh Kenyan coffee! Kaliluni AA is a super-clean selection from the harvest that's barely wrapping up now, and we expedited this coffee to us so we could share it with you early! Most Kenyan coffees on menus at this point are from last year's harvest, so we're especially excited to add some Kenyan variety to our menu. We love Kaliluni's ultra-clean processing, with soft notes of peach, apricot, and berries. Also available green!
Kaliluni Factory exclusively handles Kaliluni farmer's co-op coffees. The co-op is also part of the larger Machackos Co-op Union which provides milling support and training assistance to members. Farmers deliver fresh cherry to the factory the same say of picking, where it is sorted and pulped. The pulped coffee then ferments for just 16-18 hours, enough for mucilage removal. Then the coffee is washed, dried, graded again, and milled for export.
Process: Washed
Region: Machakos County, Kenya
Varieties: SL-28, SL-34, Batian, Ruiru
Make sure to check that the roast date you've selected is what you're looking for — If there is an UPCOMING ROAST, its date will be listed under the tasting notes at the top of this product page. When available, enjoy our selection of rested dates while they last!
