Roasted just a touch darker than our filter version, this espresso roast makes fantastic straight shots and Americanos.
Well if Colorado doesn't get a real winter this year, at least we have bottomless Peruvian coffee! Shipago is from a new relationship, and our monthly subscribers got a sneak peek at this coffee in December. The second portion of our order just landed mere hours ago, and it's tasting great. This geisha is just the right price so we can offer our larger 250g bags for a great deal, and it's available as espresso and green coffee too! This lovely new geisha tastes of apricot, pineapple, and berries.
The farm Shipago has approximately 20 hectares of land dedicated to growing geisha, bourbon, catuaí, catimor, and pacamara. Surrounding the farm is more than 200 hectares of natural forest. This coffee was first fermented in cherry for 24 hours. Then it was floated to remove defects, pulped, and fermented another 96 hours. Despite many hours of "fermentation", this coffee is incredibly clean without any trace of process flavor.
Process: Washed
Region: Utcubamba, Peru
Varieties: Geisha
