COFFEE STORY: The Riakiberu Washing Station serves around 700 small farmers from the Murang’a area of Kenya. The coffees produced by these farmers are exceptional in part because of the rich and fertile volcanic soil of the surrounding area. The washing station is investing in a future where these smaller farmers are able to produce more excellent coffees by hosting year round training sessions and agricultural seminars. They also make funds available to these farmers for school fees, emergency needs, and farm improvements.
This coffee’s exceptional flavor and syrupiness are a reflection of the good work they’re doing.
