While profiling this coffee it quickly became apparent that this coffee wanted to be pushed further into development. After a few test roasts and some rest before QC, that proved to be true. What came from that experimentation is a fun way for you to try two drastically different roasts side by side. The light roast variant of this coffee can be found here.
This is, by far, the darkest profile we have released. It is far, far from anything that could be considered ultralight - we mean it, this is a dark roasted coffee, and you will find roasty notes in the cup.
However, what accompanies those toasted marshmallow notes is a pleasant acidity that shines through the longer development and reminds us of pomegranate, accompanied with a lingering black cherry sweetness. We're not usually dark roast fans, but we have been enjoying this coffee, and we hope you do too.
