Moonwake Coffee Roasters is dedicated to producing specialty coffee that offers a moment of calm, respite, and introspection. Based in San Jose, California, the company takes its name from the reflection of the moon on a body of water—a symbol of the brief escape from the troubles of the outside world that they hope to provide with every cup.

Founded in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic, Moonwake began as a passion project to bring a semblance of joy to the community during uncertain times. What started as a hobby has evolved into a relentless pursuit to uncover and share the vast potential of coffee.

To achieve this, the team sources beans with a focus on traceability, offering single-origin roasts that celebrate the diversity of coffee flavors—from tea-like and fruity notes to rich dark chocolate. Every coffee is meticulously curated and selected after extensive evaluation by co-owner and certified Q-Grader, Ming. Roasted in small batches with intense care, Moonwake ensures that every order is shipped at peak freshness to deliver an enjoyable, captivating experience.
